Modules 1-7: Medical Therapeutic Yoga in America Series
7-part Webinar Series:
Safe Yoga Prescription in Medicine and Wellness
An Evidence Based Model for Improving Health Care & Expanding Your Practice
CEU's Awarded: 1 hour each webinar
Audience: Licensed medical professionals (MD, PA, PT, RN, PTA, OT, COTA, ATC, MT, RT, and other allied health care professionals)
Abstract
Modules 1-7 prepare the licensed medical professional to evaluate and manage the healthy and involved patient and client using the PYT Pentagon of Wellness Conceptual Model and the PYT method.
Modules 1-7 are pre-requisites to the rest of the PYT CE Series/Program, however the series can be taken in any order. Modules 1-7 are not introductory courses in yoga, rehabilitation, or medical management.
Modules 1-7 lay the foundation for the biopsychosocial model of assessment used for yoga in medicine. The Professional Yoga Therapy Model prepares the clinician for critical analysis in integrative medical management and prevention of dysfunction and disease. Written tests are given at the conclusion of each module.
Next Steps: Modules 1-7 prepare you for lab application of the integrative yogic medicine model, the PYT Method, in a retreat-style 36 hour CE (MODULE 8). Module 8 is held 1-2 times annually on Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
